We are inviting folks to submit a short video or short film or full length film to be considered for being added to our one of our shows. Most of the films for the show have already been selected or commissioned and will be from established professional filmmakers but we thought it would be fun to give more folks a chance to participate. Even those with little to zero filming experience!
There are two options to choose from
We’re inviting runners from across the globe to submit about 60 seconds of low-to-no skill camera or phone footage. We give you prompts and we give you detailed but simple instructions to try to make this something anyone with a smart phone can do well. These submissions will be compiled and edited by professional filmmaker Matt Trappe into a single stand alone piece intended to document a comprehensive global perspective around a specific theme. The theme for the June show is "Overcoming Adversity".
Video Length: Less than 2 minutes
Deadline: Sunday May 31st at 11:59pm
Are you a professional, amateur, or aspiring filmmaker? Have you been sitting on a trail running project that needs to be shared? Or want to create something brand new just for one of our shows? Or currently working on a project? Here at The Trail Running Film Festival we proactively search out fun, exciting and or inspiring films to show to our audiences but we also welcome "cold calls". We give preference to films that are not yet available online or free to the public. It's ok if your film is on the festival circuit but we do have a big soft spot in our hearts for world premieres!
Who?: Professional, amateur, or aspiring filmmaker
Film Length: Any length is ok. But if it's longer than 10-20 minutes the odds of us having time to fit it into the lineup goes down.
Deadline: We are always accepting films and have shows planned for June 2020, July 2020, August 2020, Fall 2020, Winter 2021, Spring 2021, Summer 2021, Fall 2021 and beyond.
